- Certified birth and death records
- Communicable disease follow-up and case investigation
- Environmental complaint investigations and enforcement of public health laws and ordinances
- Environmental sampling for water, sewage, chemicals and other various contaminants
- Follow-up of newborns with abnormal newborn screening tests
- Investigation and follow-up for children testing positive for elevated blood LEAD level
- Childhood immunizations for children with no health insurance and children with Medicaid/Hoosier Healthwise
- On-site sewage systems- soil testing, plan reviews, permits, inspections
- Preparation and response to medical disasters that may threaten the health and well-being of residents
- Retail food establishments plan reviews, permits, inspections, investigations, educational programs
- TB investigation and follow-up for active cases
