  • Environmental complaint investigations and enforcement of public health laws and ordinances
  • Environmental sampling for water, sewage, chemicals and other various contaminants
  • Follow-up of newborns with abnormal newborn screening tests
  • Investigation and follow-up for children testing positive for elevated blood LEAD level
  • Childhood immunizations for children with no health insurance and children with Medicaid/Hoosier Healthwise
  • On-site sewage systems- soil testing, plan reviews, permits, inspections
  • Preparation and response to medical disasters that may threaten the health and well-being of residents
  • Retail food establishments plan reviews, permits, inspections, investigations, educational programs
  • TB investigation and follow-up for active cases
